Tickets with Etihad Airways are mostly worth buying directly from the carrier's website.
Etihad Airways may not be part of any multinational alliance, but they work with many airlines around the world, so you can also buy a combination ticket with Etihad and transfer to another carrier.
When to buy tickets
Etihad Airways offer good deals quite often and generally flights are cheaper than rival airlines Emirates or Qatar Airways.
For the best price, it's usually worth buying tickets around 2-4 months before departure.
However, if you plan to travel during peak seasons (such as Christmas and New Year or summer holidays), you should buy your tickets 6 months or more in advance.
Fare classes
Etihad Airways regular economy class and business class.
First Class is also available on some Boeing 787-9, Boeing 777-300 and all Airbus A380 aircraft.
On Airbus A380 aircraft, you can enjoy First Class in the form of a luxury cabin The Residence.
The different classes are further divided into different fare groups, which differ, for example, in the number of bags, the possibility of changing the ticket or the number of frequent flyer miles credited per flight.
Please note that the fare Basicwhich includes the least services is often paradoxically more expensive than the Value.
What routes does the Etihad Airbus A380 fly on?
If you're planning to try one of the world's best-rated first class cabin The Residence, you must only fly on routes where the Airbus A380 flies.
Currently, Etihad Airways deploys the Airbus A380 with The Residence class on the following routes to/from Abu Dhabi:
- London
- Paris
- New York
- Singapore

Hi, please, if I am buying a ticket for three people, but only one person wants to put a large suitcase with the ticket, how do I make it so that only one person has a large bag and not all 3 ? Thanks a lot
Normally in the next step when booking in the additional services section you select luggage for 1 person only, or do they have some kind of a snag? Alternatively, you can do the same in the reservation management or pay at the airport.
Thanks, I'm ........, in the first step when you select what kind of ticket you want it's automatic for all 3, but just put the base and then as you write in the next step. Anyway, in the next step they want for one direction one 25 kg backpack 220 Ecs ( Vienna-Mumbai), and if you put in the first step a better type of ticket with a 30 kg backpack, they only want 14 Ecs one way for all 3 passengers = 90 kg total, that seems very strange to me..
Similarly, the Turkish one. It is also not worth paying extra for extra baggage, but to buy a higher fare.
