Qatar Airways in a nutshell
Qatar Airways is one of the best airlines in the world. According to SKYTRAX, they have a 5* rating and have won World's Best Airline status several times, including in secondary categories.
The great pro-customer attitude is evident not only on board the flight but also during the transfer. It doesn't matter whether you're flying in first, business or economy class. Always expect a higher level of comfort than your competitors.
You'll find your base in Qatar at Doha DOH Airport, where all flights operate from.

Just got back from SE Asia, flight bought from QR , 4 segments, 2 operated QR, 2 share Malaysian. The much vaunted premium airline service for economy is definitely not valid compared to say Emirates or Turkish. Such a simple average, I would rank Malaysian flights below average because of the food and service. Apart from the in-flight catering, everything had to be requested and you felt like you were annoying them. I don't mind flight time changes of 15-40 minutes, but I didn't get any notification. Only in the app after opening it. Aircraft changes ( from 777 to 350, 350 to 330) only after boarding. I don't think I'll fly them in bussines or first, so in economy I'm going back to the above, the QR price just isn't worth it.
Edit: no notification was a glitch on my mail, bad sync after changing sim cards.
Service may have suffered almost 100% LF, I still insist on mediocre to below mediocre service overall.
Wow, I understand that the flights may not have been a complete success, but it's interesting that a ticket bought through the QR website didn't show email notifications about flight time changes, that hasn't happened to me yet. Anyway, they changed the schedule change policy a month ago and instead of the previously required 4 hours to change flights for free, it is ONLY 60minutes. Then a free airport change is possible up to 750 miles. Which is very nice. This was the only thing that bugged me so much about QR, there was no flexibility, now it's great.
I have the same combination coming to KUL in January, so I'm curious. At the Y, of course.
The level went down for all airlines, even Emirates and Turkish. It's quite understandable when air tickets cost almost the same as they did a decade ago, while everything else has become significantly more expensive. At least not Emirates, where prices from Prague are pretty high. And Malaysian has never been considered a premium airline
Qatar are better at everything than Turkish, my personal experience, they are the two airlines I fly with most often.
I have also flown the aforementioned combination to KUL QR with Malaysian in economy, but that was 3 years ago. The flight with MH was really not good, the plane (back then) was a shabby A330, quite a big delay, food was not edible.
Flights have become quite expensive in the last 3-4 years, a few years ago I used to fly to Asia for prices around 300 euros even with Qatar, but today finding a ticket under 500-600 euros is a great rarity...
I flew with MH KUL-Melbourne and well above average... But it was a new A330 neo, so the plane was great , but so was the crew and food.
I will let you know in early February.
When it comes to food on the plane, the route also matters. The flight from India through Etihad was also an ordeal and the lounges at Indian airports don't really cut it. That's also why I will never fly British again, they serve Indian food even on the way between Europe and America.
promo code : mastercard25 - 10% off
not working
It must be a link from csob banking - cards - mastercard benefits and click on the link to the qatar website. Valid until 31.12.25
So it's purely a csob action? That's probably the only bank in the country I don't have.
