easyJet in a nutshell
easyJet is a major European low-cost carrier. Its operations are mainly concentrated in the western half of Europe.
EasyJet operates a fleet of exclusively Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft in the typical orange livery.
For legal and regulatory reasons, easyJet operates several separate companies, which have different IATA/ICAO codes displayed in front of the flight number or on airport boards:
- easyJet UK (U2/EZY)
- easyJet Europe (EC/EJU)
- easyJet Switzerland (DS/EZS)

Smart move by the boys, now they've cut me down by eight hundred. When I bought it, it assigned me seats, one in the aisle, one by the window. It looked like I got a free seat selection due to the higher fare, so I moved the other seat to the window. I didn't see the higher price pop up anywhere. The system asked if I wanted a second seat in the same place, which I clicked. I didn't see any price breakdown after that, I was just surprised by the price. Only when I explicitly had an invoice sent did I find the 2x seat charge.
Please advise those more experienced: we are unable to buy Easyjet tickets - it always reports an error at checkout. We have tried Visa and Master cards, different browsers and computers, the chat recommended an app, so we tried that one too and the same error keeps coming up. Anyone have any idea what the problem might be? We need to fly on Monday... Would you buy a ticket from a broker in a similar siruation?
Hello, the same thing is happening to me, did you solve this problem somehow? Thank you.
I had the same problem. I ended up buying tickets on Ryanair. Otherwise, check out the Flights - easyJet thread.
Thanks, I had a look, ended up buying the tickets a few hundred more via Booking... quite desperate...
Same problem. Can't buy through website or app. Tried different cards and different currencies. I communicated with them through support. Got through the robot to the person on the line. Discussion of the problem in English with support print screns from the website. Finally an offer to issue a ticket through support. But- original price for 2 tickets 72€,offer with discount 120€,sent them to hell-adjusted the price to 80€.I got angry and bought them elsewhere which I showed them on the print screen and asked them to explain the problem in writing. I wonder if they will get back to me.
I don't know if they've fixed it (I haven't tried paying in previous weeks), but I've now paid with my Wise card (on the website) without any problems.
The easyJet app (Android) switched itself to German. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, and you know how to change it to English or Czech, I'd be happy for instructions. Unfortunately I couldn't solve it (even reinstalling didn't help).
yes, it did (iphone). And I also failed to resolve ....that app completely changed with the change to German...most links then directed to the web interface...i check in... Scheiße :)
update: today I reinstalled it again and it is in English for a change..still a combination of app and web...
It happened, I don't know. I've already written to them on FB, no response yet.
EDIT: now I see there is a new version.
https://www.novinky.cz/clanek/ce...u-40560522 I'm gonna throw this in here because no one's mentioned it yet. I absolutely do not want this and I hope it doesn't pass. I don't even need a small suitcase and I'm definitely not alone. But the plan is to impose a style of travel on people who lug a suitcase even for a long weekend. It's clear to me that there's lobbying from the traditional airlines. Well, expensive flights around Europe in coach with wings will tempt me even less and I'm glad I've experienced super cheap flights with a backpack. I'm already switching to flights to the Balkans and Asia anyway, where one feels better about the price level. But I digress - when are they going to legislate that the extremely obese will be entitled to an extra seat next to them and anyone who doesn't get on the plane because of that is out of luck? 🤣
This is not going to be a lobbying effort by traditional airlines. They would be losing out just the same. Otherwise, this has no chance of passing, the impact on airport throughput would be devastating.
I wouldn't be so dramatic about it, the size is supposed to be 100cm total, but nowadays the lowcosts are mostly 40x30x20, so 90cm total, so if they unified it to 90, it wouldn't change anything and it seems to me a bit like unnecessary hype.
On the other hand, standardising the permitted dimensions would be a good way forward. But the idea of another flood of delays due to everyone quietly stacking their suitcase, or a suitcase I didn't really need ending up downstairs on the plane - that's really ekl.
But it's not a suitcase, it's even smaller than the current easyjet base luggage. If the article is correct.
