Japan Airlines, All Nippon Airways and the low-cost airlines Jetstar Japan and Peach Aviation are based here.

Narita Airport currently serves as a secondary airport and handles significantly fewer passengers than Haneda HND Airport, which is closer to the centre.

Haneda served mainly as a domestic and regional hub until 2014, but after the completion of the new terminal, many long-haul intercontinental flights were also moved from Narita to Haneda.
