The city that gave the world port wine is the second largest in Portugal, and so suffers a bit from a Lisbon complex. If you ask the people of Porto, “What’s the best thing to see in Lisbon?”, they’ll reply without hesitation: “the motorway sign for Porto”.

As well as countless opportunities to sample excellent port, Porto has much more to offer.
