Munich Airport in a nutshell

Munich

The airport, officially known as ‘Franz-Josef-Strauss Flughafen’, is the second largest in Germany and one of the largest in Europe. It is situated near the town of Freising, about 35 km from the centre of Munich.

If you are flying to or via Munich, by far the most flights are operated by Lufthansa, which has Frankfurt FRA its second main hub.

Condor (search for flights on condor.de) and Eurowings (search for flights oneurowings.com) also operate a significant number of flights, particularly to summer and exotic destinations.

However, Munich Airport is used by airlines from all over the world, and regular services fly to every continent apart from Australia.
