Rome Ciampino Airport in a nutshell
The smaller of Rome's airports is located 17 km southeast of the city centre and serves exclusively low-cost airlines Ryanair and Wizz air.
It is sometimes confused with the larger Fiumicino Airport, which is served by all other airlines.
Ciampino Airport is more popular than the larger Fiumicino, mainly because of the significantly shorter terminal distances and faster check-in times.
