In the north of the popular Thai island of Phuket, about 32 kilometres from the largest town, Phuket City, lies a major international airport.

Phuket is served largely by charter airlines from Europe and Russia, as well as local low-cost flights to destinations in South-East Asia, the Middle East, India and Australia, and of course there are also many domestic flights.

For example, there are up to four flights an hour from Phuket to the capital, Bangkok.
