Phuket International Airport in a nutshell

James Bond Island

On the north of the popular Thai island of Phuket, about 32 kilometres from the largest city, Phuket City, is a major international airport.

Phuket is served extensively by charter airlines from Europe or Russia, as well as local low-cost services to destinations in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, India and Australia, and of course many domestic routes.

For example, there are flights from Phuket to the capital Bangkok up to 4 times an hour.

The airport is also popular with aviation enthusiasts, as right at the end of the runway is the publicly accessible Mai Khao beach, which offers spectacular views of planes landing or taking off.
