Bangalore Kempegowda International Airport in a nutshell

Kempegowda International Airport is situated 34 km north of the city of Bangalore. It is the largest airport in the Indian state of Karnataka and the third busiest in the whole of India.

Bangalore is therefore a major aviation hub for the whole of South Asia, with direct flights to every continent except South America.

IndiGo has one of its largest hubs here, followed by Air India and Air India Express.

The majority of flights are to domestic Indian destinations, with very frequent connections (even several times an hour) to cities such as Delhi and Mumbai.

There are also many flights from Bangalore to the Middle East, South-East Asia and Sri Lanka.
