St Felix Beach

The public beach of Saint Felix is located on the south coast in the town of Riviere des Galets and is, in my opinion, one of the best in this part of Mauritius.
Like the other beaches, it is shaded by many mature trees, among which you will find various vendors selling snacks, ice cream or coconuts.

Great swimming, running and walking
Although the waves are generally bigger on the south coast, St Felix beach has a long shoal so you can't get all the way to the shore.
The surface is fine light sand and there are free toilets and showers. However, there are no sunbed and umbrella hire facilities.
There is a beautiful tarmac path along the beach for walkers, cyclists and runners, which continues to the neighbouring Pomponette beach, creating a 2.5 km long strip ideal for warming up.
Hotels by the beach
Between St Felix and Pomponette beach is one of the most luxurious resorts on the south coast - Shanti Maurice - Hotel, Villas & Spa *****.
How to get there
