Rome in a nutshell

Rome

Rome is one of the few cities where reality really does match expectations.

The Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Vatican or the Forum Romanum are not at opposite ends of the city. You often walk between them and that's when you begin to understand why Rome is one of the most visited places in the world.

But it's not just the sights.

The morning espresso bars, the evening Trastevere, the long walks without a plan, or the moments when you sit in a small square and just observe life around you are just as much a part of the experience.

And maybe that's why so many people come back repeatedly. Not to tick off the Colosseum again, but for an atmosphere that few cities in Europe have.
