Tourist visa to Mauritius

Mauritius

Visa

Citizens of the Czech Republic may stay in Mauritius without a visa for a maximum of 3 months during a six-month period starting from the first date of entry into Mauritius.

Other documents

In addition to a valid passport, the following documents are checked on arrival: return air ticket and accommodation reservation.

Vaccinations

There is no need to be vaccinated in Mauritius, however, we recommend the standard vaccinations for travellers: hepatitis A, B, typhoid or meningococcal.

If you have visited and stayed in a yellow fever country prior to arrival, you will be required to have an international vaccination card with proof of yellow fever vaccination.

Customs regulations

A person over 18 years of age may import 250 grams of tobacco products, 1 litre of spirits, 2 litres of wine for their own use. The import of live animals must be authorised by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Natural Resources of the Republic of Mauritius. Dogs are subject to a quarantine of up to several months, so it is best not to bring your four-legged friend home, of which there are many.

There is no compulsory currency exchange.

There is a strict ban on trapping/collecting and exporting wild live animals and plants. Do not attempt to bring home any shells or corals you find on the beach.

Permits are required for the import and export of weapons and ammunition.
