Casela is the largest zoo in Mauritius, covering an area of 250 hectares near the resort of Flic en Flac.

The zoo is an ideal choice for a half-day trip with children, but adults will definitely have fun here too.

It's best to set aside at least 2-3 hours for a visit to Casela Zoo.

5 parks, countless activities

Casela Zoo is divided into 5 different sections:

  • Bird Kingdom - many bird aviaries, including two walk-through aviaries.
  • Pangia Kids Park - a farm with animals to pet (rabbits, goats and more), carousels, swings and more
  • Thrill Mountain - an adventure park with a total of 6 zip-lines, including a 400-metre long one
  • African Safari - a special car ride among the animals (rhinos and giraffes are the most popular)
  • Predator Kingdom - Lions, cheetahs and tigers, including a special car ride among the animals

Between the predator kingdom and the children's park, you can visit the enclosure with giant tortoises, among which you can walk freely.

As well as animal watching and zip-lining, you can also take advantage of the slightly less adrenaline-pumping Tulawaka slide or bobsled. You can also take a ride on the camels.
