Flic en Flac is the largest and most popular resort for seaside holidays.

Long white beaches

The beach system in Flic en Flac is more than 8 km long. All the beaches are covered with very fine white sand and the entrance to the sea is comfortable and beautifully gradual.

Right in the centre of Flic en Flac is a large, spacious public beach with a park full of mature pine trees and plenty of refreshment stands.

You'll also find free public toilets, but there are no sunbed and umbrella hire facilities.

The rest of the coastline in Flic en Flac is mainly set aside for the private beaches of the hotel resorts.

Restaurants and shops

Along the main street and in the centre of Flic en Flac there are a large number of more expensive restaurants and cafés serving local and international cuisine, in addition to cheap local food stalls.

In the town centre, you will find many tourist agencies offering organised excursions, shops with beach equipment, and general services such as post offices and banks.

On the main road about 2 km from the centre of Flic en Flac is the large Cascavelle shopping centre with supermarkets, clothing and souvenir shops.

How to get there

Flic en Flac is located 25 km from the capital Port Louis and 47 km from the airport.

Free parking is available anywhere along the street where there is no yellow line painted. Free parking is available at public beaches and, of course, all hotels.
