The small town of Stegna is a great place for a quiet holiday with beautiful photogenic surroundings and full facilities for tourists.

Compared to the surrounding larger resorts of Kolymbia and Faliraki, Stegna has a much more authentic atmosphere with typical Greek white houses.

Instead of large hotel resorts, you will find only smaller hotels and apartments.

Beaches with beautiful surroundings

Stegna has 3 quiet beaches with very photogenic rocky surroundings.

  • The main beach - stretches along the promenade in the centre of the town, where you will find plenty of restaurants and shops, prices for sunbeds and umbrellas are around 15 eur per set.
  • Grande Blue Beach - a small beach under high cliffs with breathtaking views and crystal clear water great for snorkelling, it is located about 2.5 km south of the centre and can be reached comfortably by road or via a steep massif (about 750 metres) - good footwear is a must in this case! Prices for sunbeds and umbrellas are for 20 eur / day / set.
  • North beach - a quieter beach about 200 metres north of the centre, at the northern end of the beach are photogenic rocks and small coves.

Holidays with travel agency - best hotels

Stegna offers an intimate atmosphere and often cheap deals on weekly stays in apartments without meals.

But you'll also find a luxury 5-star resort. We would recommend choosing holidays in those hotels:

Top accommodation for individual travellers

Stegna is also a very popular resort for solo travellers. Here you will find plenty of well rated apartments with kitchenettes and small cosy hotels.

  • Stegna Sea & Sun - modern apartments with sea views right in the centre
  • Grande Blue Suites - luxury boutique apartments with divine views and a private pool in your room

How to get there

Stegna is about 2 km from the inland town of Archangelos and 1.5 km from the main road along the coast.

Parking along the main street, right by the beach, is free and you'll usually find free parking spaces even in the middle of the day during high season.

A bus runs directly to Stegna only once a day (no service on Sundays) from Rhodes Town via Faliraki, see timetable: ktelrodou.gr/stegna.
