Rhodes is one of the best-known Greek islands, attracting visitors with its diverse range of beaches in bustling resorts brimming with entertainment, as well as romantic beaches in coves, beneath cliffs or far from civilisation.

However, the island of Rhodes is not just synonymous with summer holidays. The capital, Rhodes Town, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its exceptionally well-preserved historic centre. The picturesque town of Lindos, with its monumental acropolis, is also beautiful, and you’ll find various castles and archaeological sites all over the island.

Hiking enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy in the stunning hilly landscape full of pine forests. On many of the hiking trails, you’ll be completely on your own.

Rhodes is also ideally situated for day trips to the surrounding small islands – most commonly Symi or Chalki.
