Seven Springs (Epta piges)

Seven Springs Dam

Epta Piges is a popular natural attraction and one of the most visited places in the hinterland and is located near the famous resort of Kolymbia.

It is a relatively small wooded area with many springs, water reservoirs and streams.

Among the most famous attractions are a passable tunnel about 1 meter wide and 2 meters high with cold water and a lake with a waterfall. The walk can be finished in a local tavern.

Hiking in idyllic nature

Here you'll find marked one-way trails along streams, dams and through heady-scented pine forests.

The most popular loop leads from the main car park, or local taverna, through a tunnel with a water channel that can also be crossed on foot and then around the dam down to the main road and then back uphill along a beautiful stream.

The whole circuit is only 1,200 metres long and although the elevation gain is quite high in places, the short distance means that even untrained travellers can make it through.

At the time of our visit, the tunnel was unfortunately impassable due to repairs, but in normal conditions you can walk through the tunnel if you don't suffer from claustrophobia.

Have lunch in the forest taverna

Plan your trip to Seven Springs so that you arrive here hungry!

Right by the natural springs and a few metres from the tunnel is a great forest taverna that specialises in local food, especially grilled meat.
