Greece in a nutshell

Greece (Greek: Ελλάδα or Ελλάς) is located at the south-eastern tip of Europe, both on the mainland (the Balkan Peninsula) and on more than 6,000 islands, of which almost 200 are inhabited.
It is bordered by Turkey, Albania, Macedonia and Bulgaria, and washed by the Aegean, Mediterranean and Ionian seas.
A rich history, crystal clear sea, olive groves, excellent cuisine, long sandy beaches and hundreds of islands with an unmistakable charm are all reasons that make Greece one of Europe's most popular tourist destinations and make it a heartland for many people.
