Chalki in a nutshell

View from Chalki Castle

Chalki is one of the smallest inhabited islands in the Dodecanese, with just 450 permanent residents. However, thanks to its location less than 20 km west of Rhodes, it is a popular destination for day trips – or even two-day breaks.

This charming island attracts tourists with its majestic, arid mountains offering breathtaking views, beaches with crystal-clear water, and an incredibly pretty and well-kept harbour town with colourful houses.

Chalki is, quite simply, the ideal place to relax, and if you want to experience a complete escape from the hustle and bustle of busy resorts, be sure to stay on the island for at least one night.

Once the last ferry has sailed, the island falls silent and dark, allowing you to enjoy a sky full of stars and the gentle murmur of the sea, free from any noise of civilisation.
