Fourni beach

Fourni

In our opinion, one of the most beautiful and peaceful beaches in Rhodes is undoubtedly Fourni. It can be found in a secluded area on the western side of the island about 2 km below the ruins of Monolithos Castle.

Fourni Beach lies under the magnificent sandstone cliffs that separate it from Fourni Bay with its huge caves.

The caves can be reached from the beach by a path along the rocks, which is absolutely passable for everyone with care. On a small rocky outcrop you can also visit the former guard fortress.

Facilities and appearance of the beach

At the entrance to the beach there is a small snack bar and a freshwater shower.

The beach itself is bordered by rocks and is a combination of pebbles and sand. Even in the high season, you won't have a headache here, so you can enjoy the peace and quiet.

Sun loungers and parasols can be hired from the local taverna for around 5 eur each.

How to get there

From the main road out of Rhodes town, you'll exit at Monolithos village towards the castle and follow the road through the serpentine path steeply down.

After about 4 km you will pass a beach (Alyki Beach) and after another 300 metres you will reach Fourni Beach, where there is free parking.

There are no buses to Fourni Beach.
