Pinnacle@Duxton is a residential complex that at first glance does not look like a tourist attraction. And that's why a lot of people miss it.

However, there is a skybridge on its rooftop that is open to the public and gives you a slightly different view of downtown Singapore than the usual tourist spots.

I went there mainly out of curiosity, but I can safely recommend the skybridge - I was there all by myself!

Is Pinnacle@Duxton worth it?

Yes, if:

  • you want a cheap prospect without the crowds
  • you enjoy exploring lesser-known places
  • you like downtown views
  • you want to see from up high how Chinatown stands out among the skyscrapers

❌ More likely not if:

  • you want the iconic view of Marina Bay (not visible from here)
  • you're short on time and you're only concerned with the top attractions

What it is

Pinnacle@Duxton is a modern public housing complex (HDB) made up of several interconnected towers.

On the 50th floor is a long rooftop walkway - a skybridge - which serves as a viewing platform.

It is not a traditional tourist attraction but a commonly accessible place for the public.

How the entrance works

  • Entrance is paid for 6 sgd
  • you pay with a card on the spot in the machine in front of the lift

There is no limit like at the famous CapitaSpring Sky Garden.

You get on the elevator, go up to the 50th floor and scan the QR code at the turnstile.

The complex still has an observation deck on the 26th floor, but it's only accessible to residents of the residential complex.

What to expect upstairs

  • a long open walkway between the buildings
  • views of downtown, Chinatown, residential areas and the harbour
  • minimal tourists
  • Bench and resting areas

How much time to set aside

I spent about 20 minutes at the viewpoint. It was pretty hot, but I can imagine being here for 45 minutes and relaxing on the benches for a bit.

How to get there

The entrance is pretty "hidden" and not very well marked.

For the public, access is only possible via one of about 6 lifts, which is located in the southernmost tower.

Nearest metro station - Outram Park

  • Green Line
  • Brown line
  • Purple line

There is also a bus stop for the 121, 167 and 196 buses right outside the entrance.
