CapitaSpring is a modern skyscraper in the heart of Singapore with a publicly accessible rooftop garden and observation deck.

Unlike other places in the city, admission is free, making it a pretty interesting alternative to paid sightseeing and one of the most popular attractions in Downtown.

We didn't end up getting in - not because of time, but because we underestimated our reservation. Admissions tend to sell out days in advance.

What's upstairs

  • Sky Garden - an open-air observation deck overlooking the city
  • Green Oasis - an indoor green floor full of plants
  • modern architecture, very photogenic

From the photos, it looks like a combination of a viewpoint and a garden in a skyscraper and should have fantastic views of Downtown and Marina Bay.

💬 Have you visited CapitaSpring and have your own photos from the viewpoint? Let us know what it's really like in the comments below the article, thanks!

Reservations (the most important thing)

  • Entry is free
  • but booking for a specific time is required
  • slots fill up fast
  • reservations are made through the official sales channel at sevenrooms.com

You usually can't get upstairs without a reservation - in our case, it was sold out 3 days in advance and by then we had to leave Singapore.

How much time to reserve and what to combine with?

I would recommend about 30-60 minutes.

The viewpoint is just a few steps away from the historic Lau Pa Sat market with the great Satay Street.

On the other hand, you can walk within 5 minutes to the promenade along Marina Bay.
