Flower Dome
We went to the Flower Dome thinking that since we were at Gardens by the Bay, it would be a shame to miss it.
It's a beautiful, perfectly maintained space full of flowers and plants from all over the world. Everything is manicured, the themed displays change throughout the year and it looks very "wow" at first glance.
The 10 best hotels in Singapore
Is the Flower Dome worth a visit?
✅ Yes, if:
- You like flowers, gardens and themed installations
- you want a quieter, more unpretentious part of Gardens by the Bay
- you have a combo ticket and plenty of time
- you're traveling with your family
❌ More likely no, if:
- you're short on time and only want the best of the Gardens
- you expect a strong "wow effect" like Cloud Forest
- you have seen similar botanical gardens
💡 Alternative:
👉 Cloud Forest - a significantly stronger experience.
What to expect inside
Inside the Flower Dome, it's not one particular attraction, but rather a combination of several types of exhibits. The whole thing feels more like a designer botanical garden than an "experience" you'll remember for a long time.
Themed floral installations
- The displays change regularly (e.g. Christmas, spring, festivals)
- very photogenic, often slightly "instagrammable"
👉 If you hit an interesting theme, you may enjoy it more than usual.
Plants from different climatic zones
- Mediterranean vegetation, succulents, baobabs
- very well maintained and clearly arranged
Air-conditioned space
- comfortable temperature around 23-25 °C
- good escape from the heat outside
This is realistically one of the biggest bonuses.
How much time to set aside
- about 30-60 minutes
If you're not really into it, even less.
Admission and opening hours
Only the Flower Dome + Cloud Forest combo ticket is currently available for purchase.

- You can buy at the door or for the same price online

Most common mistakes
1️⃣ Waiting for the main highlight
Flower Dome is more of an add-on, not a highlight of the visit.
2️⃣ You're spending too much time here
After 30-45 minutes, the experience doesn't move much.
3️⃣ You go here instead of Cloud Forest
This is the biggest mistake you can make.
