La Vallée de Ferney is one of the few areas in Mauritius where native forests and endemic species of plants and birds (such as the Mauritian kestrel and the pink pigeon) can be found.
Marked hiking trails
Three colour-coded hiking trails run through the 200-hectare reserve, suitable for hikers and mountain bikers.
The shortest trail is 5 km long and the longest is 18 km long.
However, all trails are comfortable and although they go uphill, the elevation gain is never extreme.
Entrance fees and opening hours
The reservation is private and therefore you have to pay a fee at the reception at the entrance to the valley to enter the hiking trails.
Payment can be made by card or cash.
