Gennadi

The resort of Gennadi is a continuation of Kiotari, it is actually one big long beach.
Gennadi is one of the quietest resorts in all of Rhodes, except perhaps on weekends when there are frequent parties in the beach bars, where not only tourists but locals head.
Beaches and swimming
The local beaches are long, almost endless, and also very wide.
This, combined with the fact that Gennadi is the smallest and southernmost resort on Rhodes, means that the local beaches are semi-empty even in high season.
You'll find plenty of facilities in the form of sunbed and umbrella hire and small beach bars, but the tavernas and large restaurants are only in the centre of Gennadi, which is about 1km from the sea.
The beaches in Gennadi are pebbly.
Accommodation for individual travellers
Gennadi is a popular resort for travellers heading to Rhodes on their own.
Accommodation here is relatively cheap compared to larger resorts.
Just beware, hotels and apartments tend to sell out 5 months before the summer season.
