Tsilivi

The eastern resort of Tsilivi is the second largest and liveliest on Zakynthos after Laganas.
However, even Tsilivi doesn't escape the peace and tranquillity of Zante, and compared to other Mediterranean resorts, it's truly peaceful.
Of the island's resorts, however, Zakynthos boasts one of the widest range of water sports on offer, and you'll also find smaller shops selling food, souvenirs and beach supplies. For entertainment away from the beaches, there's a mini golf course and Zakynthos' largest waterpark.
Beaches and swimming
The main beach in Tsilivi is about 600 metres long and is located right in the centre of Tsilivi.
The beach is covered with golden sand mixed with pebbles and the entrance to the sea is very gradual and safe. Tsilivi beach offers many sunbed and umbrella rentals, tavernas and a wide range of water sports.
You can go water-skiing, inflatable banana boats or simply rent a pedal boat and ride along the very calm surface of the local bay.
The coastline north of the resort is lined with private mini beaches of various apartments and guesthouses.
Tsilivi Water Park
One of the main attractions in the town is Tsilivi Water Park, the largest water park on the island. It is located in the western part of the village and can be reached within a 15-minute walk from the centre or the beach.
Compared to other water parks, this one is rather intimate, but you can still enjoy at least half a day on the many slides, whirlpools and pools.
Admission for the whole day costs around 20 eur for adults and 15 eur for children.

For cheap accommodation we would recommend Canditas Studios in a quiet location about 10 minutes walk from the beach, among hotels one of the very popular is Hotel Villa Basil about 2 minutes from the beach.
How to get to Tsilivi?
The resort is also popular due to its accessibility. It is only a few minutes by car from both the airport (11 km) and Zakynthos Town (9 km). While parking is free anywhere in Tsilivi, be prepared for a shortage of spaces and often a long search and eventually a walk to the beach from the resort's more remote locations.
Tsilivi is one of the few places on Zakynthos that can be reached from the capital by frequent bus services. The line from Zakynthos runs about 7 times a day, 4-5 times on weekends, see timetable. The ticket costs about 1,60 eur.
