A pleasant bay with a pebble beach is located at Cape Skinari. Makris Gialos beach is one of the most picturesque on Zakynthos and is definitely worth a visit during your wanderings along the east coast.

The beach is covered with relatively large pebbles and measures just under 100 metres in length. It is therefore recommended to arrive early in the morning, as later on the beach may be completely full with no vacancies.

There are several local tavernas around the beach, and in high season some of them rent umbrellas and sunbeds.

There are also some boat trips departing from Makris Gialos.
