Getting to Greece

Greece is located in south-eastern Europe, partly on the Balkan and partly on the Peloponnese peninsula and hundreds of islands.
Most travelers reach Greece by air through many international airports.
Regular ferries sail to Greece mainly from Italy, but also to many islands from Turkey.
Land transport is currently only provided by bus routes from all neighbouring countries.

International ferries
There are a large number of ferries heading to Greece, carrying not only car travellers but also individual walkers.

Buses
All the surrounding countries have direct bus connections to Greece, but it is quite difficult to navigate the timetables and buy tickets online.
International connections are provided by a large number of different small bus companies, some of which don't even have websites.
