Palea Perithia

The village of Palea Perithia stands on the crest of the sacred mountain Pantokrator. Its picturesque streets and houses from the 15th to 17th century will charm many a tourist.

During your visit, be sure to sample some of the local specialties, whether honey delicacies or ginger beer. Palea Perithia is a semi-orphaned village, many of the houses are abandoned, adding to the village's mysterious atmosphere.

Today, Palea Perithia is a protected cultural heritage site.

How to get there

Cars are not allowed directly into the village, but there is a small area on the outskirts where you can park your car for free. The village centre can then be reached in about 3 minutes on foot.
