Acharavi beach

Acharavi

If you prefer long, flat beaches with full facilities and entertainment, head to the north of Corfu to the resort of Acharavi.

Resort facilities and beaches

The more than 3 km long Acharavi beach is sand and shingle with a very gentle entrance to the sea and full facilities.

Here you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas (approx. 20 eur for two per day), enjoy various water activities and sports, and sit in the many beach bars and tavernas.

Acharavi continues loosely eastwards to Almiros beach, which tends to be less crowded.

The town of Acharavi itself is small and quiet, but there are many tavernas, bars and there are also shops and a supermarket along the main road in the centre of the village.

Holidays with a travel agency - the best hotels

Acharavi is a very popular resort for holidays with a tour operator. It offers comfortable beaches

The most popular hotels among travel agents:

  • Thinalos 4* - a cheap but well rated hotel in the centre of Acharavi 200 metres from the beach
  • Corfu Acharavi by Wyndham 4* - a great hotel of a multinational chain from which you always know what to expect. Located right on the beach
  • Grecotel Lux Me Costa Botanica 5* - a luxury hotel with a garden and right by the sea

Hotels for individual travellers

If you're heading to Acharavi on your own, we'd recommend choosing between these accommodations from our own experience:

  • Harry's Bar & Apartments - well rated studios right on the main street in the centre of the resort.
  • Restia 5* - luxury and one of the best hotels in Acharavi in a very quiet location outside of town right on the beach

How to get there

The A3 bus line runs from Corfu to Acharavi and on to Sidari.

The resort is 40 km / 70 minutes from Corfu airport.
