Sights and attractions

The old town of Kerkyra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Several different cultures have mixed in this beautiful city over the centuries, which is beautifully reflected in its architecture.

While wandering around the city, don't miss the main Esplanade Square, lined with magnificent buildings from the Venetian, French and English periods; the stunning Palace of St. Michael and St. George, the current home of the Asian Art Museum; San Giacomo Cathedral, the Maitland Rotunda, the Church of St. Spyridon, the city's patron saint; the Old and New Fortresses and, last but not least, the Ionian Parliament.

Among the city's prettiest districts are Campiello, Kanoni and Mandouki, with their narrow and winding streets and charming hidden squares. Don't forget to look up. Laundry hangs on lines just above your heads.

Accommodation in the city

As the largest town on the island, Kerkyra offers many types and forms of accommodation, from the cheapest guesthouses to expensive seaside resorts.

Among other reasons for the high concentration of offers, you'll find the most cheap deals in Corfu Town, with a room for two even in the summer season starting from as low as 33 eur per night.

Corfu Town will be the ideal base for those who want to discover the island and go on daily excursions.
