Kaizer's Throne Lookout

Kaizers Throne

The viewpoint, which is also known in guidebooks as the Imperial Throne, was a favourite place of the German Emperor Wilhelm II, after whom it is also named.

The highest point offers a view of the whole central part of the island and also of both coasts. Especially on summer evenings, there is an uncomfortably large number of tourists here to watch the sunset.

The Imperial Throne can be found in the village of Pelekas near the resort of Glyfada.

From the centre of the village you have to climb about 150 steps and you will get a 360° view of the surrounding area. You can only get here by car, there are no buses to Pelekas.
