Gardenos and Megali Lakka beaches
The beaches of Gardenos and Megali Lakka form a single beach about 3 km long with fine sand and crystal clear water overlooking the open sea.
Gardenos is one of the calmest large beaches in Corfu with perfect conditions for those seeking peace, quiet and plenty of open space. In addition, if you cross the small stone cliff at the northern end of the beach, you will find yourself on a smaller 150m long sandy beach, where even in summer you will not encounter a live animal.
Facilities on the beaches
At one end of Gardenos Beach you'll find a small fishing village with tavernas, a few beach shops and sunbed and umbrella hire (around 15 eur per day per set). Near the beach you will also find a small grocery store.
The entrance to the sea is gradual, and there are good conditions for windsurfing.
How to get there
The beaches of Gardenos can only be reached by car, turn off the main road from Kerkyra in the town of Perivoli and reach Gardenos via Vitalades. There is plenty of space for free parking.
The closest buses go to Perivoli (line B1), 5 km away.
