Ftenagia beach
The small beach of Ftenagia lies less than 1 km south of the centre of Chalki, near the windmills.
Of the 3 most famous and accessible beaches on Chalki, we liked Ftenagia the least, mainly because of the poor access to the water.
On the other hand, if you prefer peace and relaxation to swimming, Ftenagia probably offers the best conditions.

Facilities and beach appearance
Ftenagia is more of a rocky coastline with safe access to the sea rather than a beach.
The beach itself is just a very narrow strip about 10 metres long with pebbles and the rest is rocky shore and bottom.
Access to the water is therefore quite difficult, but the reward is crystal clear water suitable for snorkelling. However, you must take into account that the underwater life around the waters of Chalki is generally not very rich, so snorkelling here is suitable for complete beginners.
There is a restaurant on the beach with sunbed rental (12 eur for a set of 2 sunbeds + umbrella per day), which are set in nicely landscaped areas under the trees, so for a relaxing break in the shade with a nice photogenic coastline, Ftenagia is a great place.
How to get there
From the port of Chalki, Ftenagia beach can only be reached on foot, following a leisurely path through the town and along the coast. The distance is 800 metres, see the route map.
