The famous Keri coastline with the most beautiful sunsets on Zakynthos hides one of the most famous rock formations of the Ionian Islands in its waters. Here, a rock pyramid of white limestone rises up to 25 metres above the sea, whose turquoise and azure waters create an incredible play of colours.

The Mizithres rock is connected to the coast by a narrow seam, but you can't reach it because of the very steep cliffs.

Hiking in Mizithres

The best vantage point can only be reached on foot from the inland village of Keri. The marked path is circular, so you don't have to go back the same way. It is 5 km long in total, partly gravel and partly rocky, but can be managed by less trained hikers.

At the top of the over 100-metre high cliffs, you'll be treated to breathtaking views with the Mizithres in the foreground and the wide Mediterranean Sea in the background.

The best way to reach the village of Keri is by rental car.
