Porto Timoni

One of the most beautiful beaches on the island is located on the west coast of Corfu near the village of Afionas.
At first glance, the path seems quite easy, but after a few steps you will find that you really can't get to the beach that easily. Plus, there are no snack shops.
Timoni beach is surrounded by the sea on two sides, it is actually a narrow strip of land connecting the main island with a small peninsula, so you can swim on both sides.
On the beach you'll find small stones and no facilities. There are no sunbed rentals or refreshments, which makes the natural swimming experience all the more intense. In the shallow, indented bay, there are good conditions for snorkelling
Don't forget to bring plenty of water, food and of course sunscreen, as well as sturdy shoes!
How to get there
The best option is to take a rental car to the village of Afionas, you can drive all the way to the viewpoint on the sea where you can watch the sunsets. From there, there is a steep path about 1.5 km down to the sea.
Buses to Afionas village run from Kerkyra (Corfu Town) twice a day (weekdays only). This is the A6 line.
