Turn off the main road towards the village of Manhenha, drive through to the end of the village and park your car at the side of the tarmac track.
About 100 metres before the lighthouse, a signposted path branches off the road across a jagged lava field, which then turns into a comfortable, well-maintained path along the coast, leading all the way to the village of Ribeirinha, 8 km away.
