Corvo is the smallest of the Azores and the northernmost island of Macaronesia. It lies about 15 km north of Flores and has only one single village with a population of less than 400 people.
The island is a popular tourist attraction for day trips from Flores. The absolute dominant feature of Corvo Island is the monumental volcanic caldera with several lakes at the bottom and green pastures all around.
