Masjid Putra

Putra Mosque is the main monument and the biggest tourist attraction of Putrajaya.
It was completed in 1999 and surpasses even the more modern Iron Mosque in the city centre in size. The building can accommodate up to 15,000 worshippers and is surrounded on three sides by an artificial lake.
Pink granite dome
The mosque's distinctive feature is a giant 50-metre high dome decorated with pink and white granite tiles.
The minaret reaches a height of 116 metres and as there are no taller buildings near the mosque, the structure looks truly monumental.
