What will you see and how long does it take to visit?

To be honest, I was quite disappointed with the local botanical garden.

Expect more of a landscaped park, with only a minimum of ornamental flowers and most of it made up of trees, grassy meadows and, on the northern edge of the garden, wetlands where you can occasionally spot flamingos.

I walked through the main part of the botanical garden in about 30 minutes. If you want to go to the wetlands, allow about 60 minutes to visit the botanical garden.

The promenade along the lake is nice, where you can find several food stalls or even rent pedal boats and boats.

How to get there

The quickest and most reliable way is by car via the Grab mobile app.

You'll pay around 8 myr to get to Putrajaya city centre or Putrajaya Sentral metro station.

Right at the Botanical Gardens, the wharf also has water taxis plying on a precise schedule at an average of 1-2 times per hour. Detailed information about the water taxi is described in the Transport chapter.

The Botanical Gardens can also be reached by a comfortable footpath after about 15 minutes walk from Putra Square.
