Putra Square

Putra Square is the most visited place in the city. Tourists can take a picture in front of the "Putrajaya" sign in Malay colours.
The square is over 300 meters in diameter and is dominated by a train mast with the Malaysian federal flag, which is surrounded by lower masts with flags of all Malaysian states.
Underground you will find a small shopping centre with food stalls and a cruise ship and water taxi dock.
The main buildings that surround the square are the Putra Mosque (freely accessible to tourists) and the Perdana Putra Palace, which houses the Malaysian government and prime minister. This palace is not open to the public.
