Kuala Lumpur Bird Park is a huge bird zoo spread over 20 acres in the vicinity of the Botanical Gardens.

KL Bird Park is a great place for families with children, but also for all animal lovers.

The huge park includes several different sized aviaries, smaller cages and enclosures for large birds such as ostriches, cassowaries and emus.

Very popular is the aviary with flamingos and pelicans or the section with birds of prey.

At various times during the day, feeding or parrot shows take place in the different sections.

The Bird Park is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Ticket prices are different for local and international visitors.

  • Adult foreign visitor - 90 myr
  • Child foreign visitor - 70 myr

Malaysians pay 45 myr for an adult and 20 myr for a child.

How to get there

There is no public transport directly to the entrance of Bird Park and most tourists use Grab or taxi.

The cost to the centre is around 10 myr, but due to frequent traffic jams it may be worth walking to the Bird Park or at least combining a visit with nearby attractions - Botanical Gardens, Butterfly Park, National Mosque, Museum of Islamic Art, National Monument.
