Graham Street Wall
On the corner of Graham Street and Hollywood Road, you’ll be surprised to find a blue wall full of colourful windows and balconies nestled amongst the buildings. The Graham Street Wall is one of Hong Kong’s most famous street art spots, but it only takes a few minutes to see it all.
The mural was created by Hong Kong artist Alex Croft for the G.O.D. shop. It depicts old Hong Kong ‘tong lau’ tenement blocks. Each window looks slightly different; the artist was also inspired by the former, densely built-up Kowloon Walled City.
The wall stands right by the street and you can view it for free at any time. It’s best to come and take photos during daylight hours. Graham Street is narrow and cars drive through it, so stay off the road whilst looking for the right shot.
Where can you find the Graham Street Wall?
The mural is at the junction of Graham Street and Hollywood Road in Central, on Hong Kong Island.
On the map, look for ‘Alex Croft mural’ or the address 46 Graham Street / 48 Hollywood Road.
- Sheung Wan MTR: Exit A2, about an 8-minute walk.
- Central MTR station: Exit D2, about a 9-minute walk.
Expect an uphill walk from the MTR station.
If you’re in Central, combine a visit to the mural with a stroll along Hollywood Road and a visit to the nearby Graham Street Market, where food is still sold from street stalls. Allow 5–10 minutes to view the mural itself.
Are you looking for accommodation right in this part of town?
