Kilimanjaro International Airport in a nutshell
Kilimanjaro Airport is located in northern Tanzania and serves the cities of Arusha (52 km) and Moshi (41 km).
It is one of Africa's major international airports due to the presence of many world-famous safaris and its proximity to Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, after which it is named.
Kilimanjaro Airport is served by several international routes to neighbouring countries, as well as long-haul routes to Europe and the Middle East. A few flights around Tanzania complete the schedule, including flights to Zanzibar and the largest city , Dar es Salaam.
Significantly busier domestic connections are to small airports Arusha ARK in the city centre.
