Tanzania in a nutshell

Tanzania

Tanzania has an area of 947,000 square kilometres, with its largest city and economic centre , Dar es Salaam, on the east coast, but the government is based in Dodoma, in central Tanzania.

If anyone is tempted to explore the African continent, they should start with Tanzania.

This country offers perhaps everything the average tourist might want to see on his or her journey around the world. Incredible images of wildlife, the adrenaline rush of climbing to the top of Kilimanjaro or diving with coral sharks and some of the world's most beautiful beaches on the island of Zanzibar.

The locals, who are quite friendly to foreigners, have propelled this country to the top of the continent in popularity.

The security situation is very good, there is no threat of attacks on tourists, it is safe to move around the Tanzanian wilderness and cities.
