Arusha Airport in a nutshell

Arusha is a major domestic airport in northern Tanzania, serving as one of the main hubs for safari flights (mainly Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro). The terminal can be found 8 km west of the city of Arusha.
Arusha Airport is also one of the main entry points for trips to Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro.
It is from here that small planes fly to unpaved airstrips in the middle of the safari and connect with frequent flights to Tanzania's largest airports Zanzibar ZNZ and Dar es Salaam DAR.
The largest airlines flying into Arusha are Precision Air, Flightlink, Coastal Aviation and Auric Air.
Arusha has only domestic routes. Direct international flights operate from Kilimanjaro JRO, approximately 60 km away.
