Plaza Mahkota

Plaza Mahkota is the name of an interesting modern district built in a regular rectangular style and giving the impression of a historic place. At least at first glance.
The district impresses mainly with its colourful houses, but they are only painted this way in the first row right on the main street, Jalan Thun Khalil Yaakob.
Delving further into the depths of Plaza Mahkota, the facades lose colour and condition, but within the regular residential areas of Malacca, this neighbourhood is one of the very best addresses.
Walk along the colourful houses on your way from Pahlawan Walk Market or the Taming Sari observation tower towards the historic centre.
