Pu'uka'oku Falls

The wild north shore of Molokai is one of the most beautiful, yet most inaccessible areas of the Hawaiian Islands. It is home to the world's highest sea cliffs, which combined with the forested landscape and high rainfall has resulted in some spectacular waterfalls.
The cheapest accommodation on Molokai
The most famous of the waterfalls, Pu'uka'oku Falls falls impressively in 4 cascades from a height of 840 metres almost perpendicular to the sea, ranking as the 8th highest waterfall in the world.
They are even so high that the water from the top of the falls never reaches the sea surface. As it falls into the depths, it dissolves into a misty haze.
How to get to the falls
The only problem with Pu'uka'oku Falls, and a major one at that, is the fact that they are located in an absolutely inaccessible area and cannot be visited by land in any easy way.
However, there is also a problem when travelling by water. The ocean around the Hawaiian Islands is one of the most treacherous and wildest in the general area, and thus there are no boat tours to the falls.
The only way to see Pu'uka'oku Falls is to pay for a sightseeing helicopter flight, but they don't fly from Molokai, but from the neighboring island of Maui. Expect prices around 340 usd for a 60-minute sightseeing flight (for example, Sunshine Helicopters, Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, or Maverick Helicopters).
