The village of Kaunakakai is the largest and actually the only real village on Molokai, and it is almost certainly the one you will visit at least once during your multi-day stay on the island.

In Kaunakakai you will find several shops, a bank, a post office, the main island hospital and a couple of hotels.

Kaunakakai is located on the most populated southern coast of Molokai, where the predominant landscape is rolling farmland, a coastline full of fishponds lined with palm trees and occasional small sandy beaches.
