This 4 566 m high mountain can be climbed as part of the trek in Arusha NP, it is an excellent acclimatization in the further progress to Kilimanjaro. The ascent starts at 1 500 m above sea level. It takes 3-4 days.

The trek offers views of the dense forest, surrounding landscape and vegetation zones similar to Kilimanjaro except for the glacier. Fees for the whole trip are quite high, you need to count on the entrance fee to the NP for 3-4 days, porter, cook and overnight stay in huts. Along the way you may see baboons, warthogs, warthogs and giraffes. You are not at risk of encountering a carnivore here.
